RE: Immigration Reform brochure memo
The immigration has been a problem not only to the government but also to the illegal immigrants who find it hard to succeed. While many proposals have been talked about, none have actually become an immigration reform. It seems the congress and the government have others priorities before the immigration reform. The lack of action has angered   many people including the immigrant community. The purpose of the brochure is to inform the government and the illegal immigrants about solutions that will help form an immigration reform. Also this brochure is used to persuade those people in favor of an immigration reform to stand up and start making a change in the government.
Over the year, I have seen many illegal immigrants suffer, including some of my friends, with everyday life. For that reason I decided to choose, and do research about the immigration topic. I just wanted to inform the readers of what could have been done to solve this problem.
The most challenging part from creating the brochure was the space limit, because there was too much information and pictures to put in a reduce space. The other challenge was adjusting the colors of the background with the colors of the words. At first the letters were not readable, but once I made some changes everything was okay. The last challenge was to place the works cited of the pictures in the brochure.
The design of the brochure was motivated by my pride of living in the U.S. The colors that I chose, blue, red and white represent the Unites states. By putting those color it show logos and pathos towards the brochure and the information within. Inside the brochure I decided to add pictures that represented the three policies mentioned. Also I decided to add the image from  my visual analysis report because it shows logos, pathos and ethos. I added short terms like vote, Promised Land, know your rights and reform immigration for America to motivate the readers to take action. The brochure was broken down first with the introduction, then my proposed policies and in the end I persuaded the readers to vote, rise up and make a change.
The most positive aspect from my brochure was being able to connect with the readers using the colors pictures and the information that I gave them. The next positive aspect was the organization and design of the brochure, because it helped simplified the information without making it seem hard to understand.
The experience of learning more into depth about the immigration topic really helped me understand the back side of an immigration reform. It also helped see the suffering from the illegal immigrants. This experience helped inform my class about what I found out, and also about why we have not seen an immigration  reform. I hope my classmates enjoy the experience of reading the information I gather, just like I did.
